Our chapter has a strong relationship with our alumni where our members are able to contact them for advice for job opportunities and other professional development.

Troy Kim graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 and is currently in graduate school! He has interned at GE and US Department of Transportation in the past. Troy recommends attending SASE National Conference in order to make connections and improve your professional development skills.

Jessica Shen currently works at General Motors and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018! Jessica has interned at Dynetics and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab. She recommends current underclassmen to apply to as many places as possible and to not let rejections get you down. Also, she suggests to only put things on your resume that you are willing to do!

Tony Tran is a Virignia Tech Alumni who currently works at Microsoft. He graduated from Tech in 2018 and had an internship at Northrop Grumman during his time at Tech. Tony recommends current undergraduates to not give up on finding an internship or full-time job and to utilize all of their resources, such as career fairs, applying online, and connections. "Eventually after many job rejections, at least one will end up as an offer."
